But with so many enchanting spots to explore, where should you go to experience the very best of Harry Potter in London?
Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
Based on an original, new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, at the Palace Theatre is a must-visit for every Potter fan!
This record-breaking play, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender’s Playground Entertainment, and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, is brought to life with dazzling stagecraft and emotional depth. It’s directed by John Tiffany, with movement by Steven Hoggett, set design by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, lighting by Neil Austin, music by Imogen Heap, sound by Gareth Fry, and jaw-dropping special effects by Jeremy Chernick. Prepare to be spellbound.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London: The Making Of Harry Potter
Step behind the scenes at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Tour London in Leavesden, where the magic of the Harry Potter films was born. This one-of-a-kind walking tour showcases the original sets, costumes, props, and animatronics used in the blockbuster series.
Wander down Diagon Alley, enter the Great Hall, sneak into the Forbidden Forest, and explore Gringotts Bank. Hop on Hagrid’s flying motorbike, sip a Butterbeer, and marvel at the majestic Hogwarts Castle model. With new features added regularly (including seasonal events like Dark Arts and Hogwarts in the Snow), there’s always something fresh to discover.
Platform 9 ¾ and Hogwarts Express
Also at the Studio Tour is a stunning recreation of Platform 9 ¾, complete with the original Hogwarts Express steam engine. Climb aboard, peek into the train’s carriages, and pose for that classic trolley-through-the-wall photo. It's also where scenes from the final moments of the film series were shot—feel the emotion as you stand where Harry, Ron, and Hermione waved their children off to Hogwarts.
Platform 9 ¾ at King’s Cross Station
Can’t make it to the studios? You can still grab a photo pushing a trolley through the magical barrier at the real King’s Cross Station. The famous Platform 9 ¾ photo spot is located inside the station concourse, complete with a Hogwarts scarf and nearby gift shop offering wands, robes, and more.
Madame Tussauds
Rub shoulders with wax figures of the world’s biggest stars—including some of the Harry Potter universe’s most iconic faces. At Madame Tussaud's you can snap a selfie with lifelike recreations of Harry, Hermione, and other characters from the films, and immerse yourself in the magic of the Wizarding World, right in the heart of London.
House of MinaLima
A hidden gem for fans of the films’ visual style, House of MinaLima is a gallery and shop in Soho celebrating the graphic design of Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the team behind the newspapers, textbooks, and packaging seen on screen. From Daily Prophet front pages to Honeydukes wrappers, it’s a design lover’s dream.
Whether you’re catching a magical matinee, exploring film sets, or posing with a wand, London has everything a Harry Potter fan could dream of. Just don’t forget your Marauder’s Map.
