SINGIN' IN THE RAIN DANCES INTO THE PALACE THEATRE

After years of being home to Priscilla Queen Of The Desert, the slightly older classic Singin' In The Rain will be next up at the Palace Theatre from 4th February to 29th September 2012.

Based on the classic MGM musical starring Gene Kelly from 1952, this West End production will star Adam Cooper as Don Lockwood, Daniel Crossley as best friend Cosmo Brown, Scarlett Strallen as love interest Kathy Seldon and Katherine Kingsley as silent moviestar Lina Lamont.

Adam Cooper is an English dancer, choreographer and theatre director who has worked in many fields of dance. He is most noted as a dancer of classical ballet and is a former Principal of the Royal Ballet. He famously created the lead role in Matthew Bourne's contemporary dance production of the ballet Swan Lake, a role that was briefly featured in the 2000 film Billy Elliot.

Summer Strallen came to fame as Maria Von Trapp in Andrew Lloyd Webber's revival of The Sound of Music at the London Palladium. Her most notable theatre credits include Meg Giry in the West End production of Love Never Dies for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

The production received great reviews from it's run at the Chichester festival earlier this year.
