    Oscar winner Estelle Parsons debuts in new West End production of Deathtrap

    Estelle Parsons, who won an Oscar for playing Blanche in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, makes her West End debut in Ira Levin’s thriller, Deathtrap. Deathtrap will open at the Noel Coward Theatre on 7th September 2010.

    Estelle Parsons, who is best-known for her performance as The Mother in the TV series Rosanne, will star as Helga ten Dorp,

    The cast will also include Simon Russell Beale as Sydney Bruhl, Jonathan Groff as Clifford Anderson and Claire Skinner as Myra Bruhl.

    Directed by Matthew Warchus, Deathtrap is designed by Rob Howell and with original music by Gary Yershon.

    Deathtrap holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller on Broadway and made into a 1982 film by Sidney Lumet, starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve.
