    NEW CAST ANNOUNCED FOR SHREK THE MUSICAL

    Current Shrek the Musical stars Nigel Lindsay and Nigel Harman will be bowing out on 27th February at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane to be replaced by Dean Chisnall and Neill McDermott respectively.

    The Shrek role will be played by Dean Chisnall who has been the understudy for the role as well as playing Farquaad's henchman, Theolonius and Papa Ogre.  He has a wealth of West End theatre experience having been in Love Never Dies, La Cage aux Folles, Never Forget and The Woman in White.

    Neil McDermott best known from tv's Eastenders takes over from the other ex Eastenders star Nigel Harman as Lord Farquaad.  Other stage credits include The Sound of Music at the London Palladium. 

    Richard Blackwood continues in the role of Donkey and the casting of Princess Fiona, who is currently being played by Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, is still to be confirmed.
