    London Group Tickets Offer

For most shows in the Westend, London group tickets are offered at a substantially discounted rate. Purchasing London group tickets and going to see a theatre performance is a great way to celebrate a work Christmas party, a birthday, a hens night, or any celebration for that matter. Plus if it's an obligatory event like a family reunion or work event, then there's 2 hours down that you don't have to talk to anyone!

The theatres will offer a few different group rates depending on the people in the group. They offer a standard group rate, a student group rate, usually for university students, and a school group rate for school children. With the school group rate, most of the time every eleventh ticket is free for a teacher. Sometimes theatres will also offer an OAP or old age pensioner group rate for when the local nursing home feel like taking their residents for a day trip.

To qualify for a group rate then you need to have a certain number of people. Usually it is 12 people or more, however some theatres go as low as 6 and up to 15 people to qualify for the rate. Some school group rates are only available for children under 16 years of age and for the student group rate you would need to prove you are studying full time. Showing your student card would be sufficient. These measures are to prevent a group of adults from booking a group online and benefiting from the group discount which is meant for legitimate students and OAP's. The reason I have mentioned this is because even though a group of adults can obtain a standard group rate, it will be less of a discount compared to the student, school or OAP rates.

The special discounted rates for groups, most of the time, are only valid Monday to Thursday with few theatres offering discounts on Fridays and even fewer offering weekend discounts. School holidays are generally a lock out period for school group rates and some theatres will also not offer standard group discounts at this time.

Buying theatre tickets for a group is an easy process and most online ticket agencies will hold the seats for you for a period of time so you can collect the money from the rest of your group. Widely accepted forms of payment for London group tickets is via credit card, BACS or cheque. As long as the rest of the group you are organising are as reliable as you, then you should have your London group tickets in no time.
