    CAST REVEALED FOR BIRDSONG

    Full cast details of the West End adaption of Sebastian Faulk’s best-selling novel Birdsong.

    One of Britains Best loved novels, Birdsong will be taking to the stage in an all star cast at The Comedy Theatre from 18th September 2010 until January 2011.

    The cast includes Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian in the Chronicles of Narnia films), Nicholas Farrell (Chariots of Fire, Stuff Happens), Iain Mitchell (La Cage Aux Folles, Edmond), Genevieve O’Reilly (Spooks, The Weir), Lee Ross (Eastenders, The Catherine Tate Show) and Zoe Waites (Mrs Klein, The Other Boleyn Girl).

    Barnes was last on stage in February 2007, starring as Dakin in the second West End season of the National Theatre production of Alan Bennett’s The History Boys.  He will be joined by Owain Arthur, Billy Carter, Florence Hall, Paul Hawkyard, Gregg Lowe, Joe Coen, Jack Hawkins, James Staddon and Annabel Topham.

    Birdsong tells the story of a man's journey through an all consuming love affair and into the horror of the First World War, it is written and adapted by Rachel Wagstaff and directed by Trevor Nunn.
